Went around Ilocos Norte with my mom, Tito Rene, Dr. Cuanang, and his other friends. We had lunch in Saud Resort, owned by the Vice Mayor of Pagudpud. She served us lobsters, yum! We visited the Stingray Memorial, where the US submarines dropped off weapons, supplies, etc during WWII. The US Ambassador will be visiting the site next week in a Philippine-US fight commemoration ceremony. The highlight of the trip was a visit to Kapuluan, a surfing resort owned by a surfer couple. Although originally from Bicol and La Union, they decided to settle down in Ilocos. I completely understand why they fell in love with the place. The wind and the waves were perfect. The resort had an infinity pool, herb garden and the structures were really distinct. I love how I never run out of places to see in my own province.
